The race’s namesake, Polidor, a former ALFA student passed away last year. In support of the bond formed thru ALFA, fellow classmates and teachers helped with his funeral. ALFA short for Alfabetizasyon (literacy in Creole) is an extensive adult literacy program with 8 rural sites.
