5. Men’s Ministry Choir
Traditionally, the Men’s Ministry Choir serves at the 5 pm Saturday Mass every other weekend. They minister at Parish Reconciliation Services and can also be heard during Holy Week and on Easter Sunday. The Mass on Thanksgiving Day is one of their favorite because it brings their family members together in song. Their musical style tends to be folk music with touches of traditional hymn singing. Lately, the men have sung many selections in harmony, blending their voices and instruments in song to praise the Lord. The current age range is from 16 to 84! Open to any men in the parish who can sing or play an instrument.
PRACTICE: Thursday (before the Saturday to minister) from 7-9 pm

 7. Saint Bartholomew Children’s Choir
This choir’s Mission is to teach parish children the language of music and artistic expression within the context of the Catholic Christian community of faith.
The choir serves from late August through mid-May at about two Masses per month as well as at special events, such as the Children’s Christmas Mass, the First Communion Mass, and the Concert Series. The children come to choir ready to share their vocal talents in the mission of spreading the word of God. Given the function of this ensemble, learning the sacred music repertoire is a priority.
Membership is open (non-auditioned) to boys and girls of our parish in grades third through eighth. Our young choristers learn about proper singing techniques, vocal care, reading music, and fresh repertoire appropriate to this age range. Parents are instrumental for the success of our Children’s Choir program. We rely on the parents of choir members to encourage their children’s participation in our choir’s activities, as well as to provide snacks and supervision. Parents sign-up for dates when they get actively involved with the choir.
PRACTICE: The children gather in the lower level of the church (Parish Hall) from 3-3:20 pm on Thursdays for snacks. Practice follows from 3:20-4:20 pm in the Music Room.

8. Saint Bartholomew Choir
The choir sings mainly classical and traditional choral repertoire along with hints of contemporary numbers and arrangements. This ensemble's goal is to provide excellence in liturgical music. Its members continue to learn vocal and choral techniques from professional musicians and guest directors and singers as well as collaborate with other choirs and participate in conventions and choir events. In addition to ministering at weekend Masses over the year and at the 8 pm Christmas Eve Mass, Holy Week and Easter Masses, the St. Bartholomew Choir is actively present in our Concert Series.
Open to anyone who is willing to commit to the regular schedule of the choir and possesses basic music knowledge and vocal abilities. Flexible attendance.

10. Stained Glass
The youth ensemble of our parish is a creative way for any junior high school student to serve our church and God through music. Stained Glass follows the principles that we all are unique colors of God and that to sing is to pray twice. The style of the ensemble is contemporary Christian music with a little rockin' kick. The group sings at Mass on an average of once every three weeks and practices are at 7 pm on the Tuesdays before serving at Mass.

Saint Bartholomew Concert Series

The energy and the intensity of our vibrant music program in the complex context of our parish at large generated the need for our own Concert Series that functions under the umbrella of the Music Ministry.

Inaugurated on September 11, 2006, our Series presents monthly recitals and concerts from September through May. Of various styles, reflecting the parish’s eclectic population but also its general appreciation for any musical idiom, our concerts feature local musicians, including parish talent and choirs, as well as guest artists. Through the quality of our Concert Series our Music Ministry is trying to promote the cultural image of our Parish and the local and regional communities have acknowledged our efforts. Our Series attracts consecrated professionals from across the nation.

The events of our Concert Series are coordinated by an Organizing Committee and can only take place through the support of our generous patrons and through the work of many volunteers. This two-folded support is essential for the existence of our series because all our events are admission free. In addition to the patronage system, free-will donations are welcome during each event. Our Music Ministry benefits the most from the financial contributions through the Concert Series, though occasional support has been directed to parish or local causes.
WHEN: September through May, monthly concerts and recitals.
